"The only truth is music." - Jack Kerouac

Born in Luxemburg, Anne Galowich began her musical education at the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg. From 1993 to 1997 she continued her studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, and received a ‘Premier Prix’ for piano, chamber music and history of music. She furthermore studied the harpsichord (with Jos van Immerseel), the pianoforte and singing in Antwerp. In 2000, she completed the Meestergraad Clavecimbel with high distinction grades. Anne Galowich and Jos van Immerseel now work closely together and they regularly perform as a duo, playing programmes for two harpsichords on the instruments of their collection. She collaborated with Anima Eterna in Haydn’s The Creation, in which she played the fortepiano part and she’s a soloist with the same orchestra in performing J.S. Bach’s concertos for 2, 3 and 4 harpsichords. Anne Galowich teaches at the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg. She revives the Dulcken harpsichord of 1747 as well as the 1826 Conrad Graf fortepiano at the Museum Vleeshuis in Antwerp, notably during the Jeugd en Muziek recitals. For the Musée des instruments de musique (MIM), the Brussels musical instrument museum, she recorded a CD with works by Byrd, Soler and Duphly. The music of the virginalists from Byrd to Tomkins occupy a special place in her repertoire, as do the French school from Anglebert to Duphly and the works for keyboard by Antonio Soler and Joseph Haydn.
